Kare-kare Sauce Recipe (Tagalog Version)
Kare-kare Sauce Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup onion chopped
- 1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil or annatto oil
- 2 teaspoons Garlic minced
- 2 cups pork broth reserved
- 1/4 Cup peanuts roasted and finely chopped
- 3 heaping tablespoons peanut butter creamy
- 1/2 tablespoon bagoong alamang
- Salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 tablespoons rice ground and toasted
Instructions
- Gisahin ang red onions sa vegetable oil o annatto oil hanggang sa lumambot ito. Idagdag ang garlic at gisahin hanggang bumango.
- Idagdag ang pork broth, peanuts, at creamy peanut butter at haluin nang mabuti. Timplahan ng bagoong alamang, salt, at ground pepper. Pakuluin. Hinaan ang apoy at i-simmer ng 5-8 minuto. Idagdag ang toasted rice para lumapot ang sarsa. Timplahan ulit.
- Idagdag ang lechon kawali at pinakuluang pechay, sitaw, at talong. Maari rin itong palitan ng karne o seafood.
